American Telemedicine Association and ECHAlliance Collaborate to Advance Digital Health Transformation through the Global Health Connector Partnership

Global Health Connector Partnership Summit at ATA2022 Annual Conference & Expo, May 1-3, Boston

Washington, DC and Belfast, United Kingdom, January 25, 2022 – The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) and the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) today announced a new collaboration to support the Global Health Connector Partnership (GHCP) focused on advancing digital health transformation across the world.

Through a series of co-located events and activities, the Global Health Connector Partnership will amplify the work of their stakeholders and help bridge the gaps in digital health around the globe by seeking universal solutions to shared barriers across the ecosystem. These events will bring together their respective members, networks and the telehealth community at large, as well as key industry leaders in Europe, North America, Africa, India, Latin America and the Commonwealth.

“The ATA and ECHAlliance share mutual goals and a vision for a future of healthcare that includes digital health solutions to address some of our most daunting healthcare challenges. As the leading industry voice for telehealth in the U.S., the ATA is a valued partner and collaborator as we work in other continents to advance digital health transformation,” said Brian O’Connor, Chair of ECHAlliance.

“What we learned during the pandemic is that global challenges require global responses. Further, we’ve learned that the challenges we face in the U.S. around disparities, workforce/staffing and climate are shared globally. This all just reinforced the importance of our work with ECHAlliance and the GHCP,” added Ann Mond Johnson, CEO of the ATA. “As a leading industry convener and a founding member of GHCP, we look forward to addressing these and other issues at ATA2022 in Boston.”

ATA2022 Annual Conference & Expo is the “event of record” in virtual care, bringing together decision-makers and thought leaders, boots-on-the-ground clinicians, forward-looking innovators and solution providers, and the policymakers who are creating the future. The Global Health Connector Partnership Summit will convene at ATA2022, May 1-3, in Boston.

The Global Health Connector Partnership (GCHP) is a consortium of international organizations brought together by the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance) and allied in working together to share knowledge and find common solutions for efficient use of digital technologies to improve healthcare delivery, access and outcomes across the globe.
