HLTH 2019

The ATA, the premier organization working to accelerate the adoption of telehealth, and HLTH, the largest and most important conference for health innovation, are collaborating to examine telehealth and digital health solutions that are driving healthcare transformation. Telehealth experts, clinical leaders and tech innovators will share their knowledge and expertise with an audience of influential healthcare chiefs and decision makers. Learn, interact and network with those who are creating the future of care via telehealth solutions, advancing emerging technologies and implementing strategies that will accelerate the adoption of virtual care into value-based delivery models.

At HLTH 2019, ATA will host a half-day deep-dive symposium and an interactive pavilion on the exhibit floor, showcasing emerging telehealth technologies and trends – from smartphones apps, AI and virtual care, to remote monitoring and digital therapeutics – that are enhancing the consumer experience, and improving the quality of care and clinical outcomes. Exhibit and sponsorship opportunities are available and going quickly!

ATA’s session overview:

Sunday, October 27th, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Telehealth: An Rx for the Consumer Experience

Telehealth solutions include digital health, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual care, remote monitoring, and digital therapeutics (DTx), as well as ‘store-and-forward’ or asynchronous technologies that securely transmit data collected from wearables, sensors and other devices to help inform clinicians’ decisions throughout diagnosis and treatment. DTx, in particular, applies Telehealth technologies, alone or in combination with conventional drug therapies, to treat chronic conditions, change behaviors and reduce health care costs.

What are the trends, opportunities, technology-based interventions, and virtual tools and programs that hospitals, healthcare providers and life sciences companies are adopting to successfully leverage Telehealth solutions? Join ATA to explore how Telehealth and the emerging field of DTx are increasingly changing the way health care is delivered. Hear from Telehealth and digital therapeutics innovators and thought leaders, who will share insights into the most promising solutions and services that are enabling direct-to-consumer virtual care, remote monitoring and disease management practices, and deliver personalized medicine in real-time.

9:00 – 9:05 am Opening Remarks

Ann Mond Johnson, CEO, ATA

9:05 – 9:25 am Opening Keynote: Telehealth is Moving Mainstream: How Do We Harness the Opportunity?

Joseph Kvedar, MD, Vice President, Connected Health, Partners HealthCare; Professor, Harvard Medical School and President-Elect, ATA

The potential for technology-enabled care delivery is vast. Telehealth is defined as care that is delivered outside of a traditional setting and is not dependent on specific time and place restrictions; it makes the health consumer experience more compelling, convenient and addictive. Emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), voice recognition (VR) and virtual visits can personalize care and improve health and wellness. Remote monitoring, digital therapeutics and wearable technologies are also being integrated into our daily lives to better self-management of chronic conditions and make healthier lifestyle choices. Dr. Kvedar shares his vision for telehealth and the opportunities, interventions and virtual tools that can successfully leverage the power of telehealth to achieve health and wellness for all.

9:25 – 10:10 am Panel Discussion: Putting Consumers in the Driver’s Seat: New Models, High Speed Lanes and Road Blocks Ahead

Explore the novel applications of telehealth, new technology platforms and consumer-driven models of care delivery that are being built on innovation, ingenuity and emerging technologies. Hear from the leading organizations that are paving the road ahead, creating greater access to personal health data for both patients and providers, facilitating sustained behavior change, enhancing engagement and outcomes, and creating a patient/consumer-centric approach to health and wellness.
