How to Help India During the COVID-19 Pandemic
COVID-19 cases continue to soar in India. Here's how you can offer support.
If we’ve learned anything in the past year, it’s that a global crisis requires a global response. Many have reached out to the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) to ask what they and their organizations can do to support relief efforts in India.
The situation is dire and some of our members have identified organizations that are working to garner and distribute healthcare resources. They are:
-
Oxygen for India — Focused on sourcing oxygen for those in need
-
ACT India — A group of Indian entrepreneurs, investors and executives sourcing oxygen concentrators for those most at risk, in partnership with the government of India.
-
Association for India’s Development — Directly connected with on-the-ground organizations
-
Concern India Foundation to deliver medical equipment to hospitals, increase vaccine awareness and distribution, and provide grocery kits to families in need.
-
CARE India to leverage 70 years of disaster relief work in India to provide essential hospital services, health workers, beds and life support systems across 14 states in partnership with central and state governments.
-
United Way Worldwide COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide medical supplies, support community isolation centers, equitably distribute vaccines, and address food and economic insecurity.
