Charles Fisher, PT, MBA: Charles Fisher is Vice President of Rehabilitation and Performance at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). Charles plays a key role in managing the HSS Rehabilitation Department and its 350 multidisciplinary staff and is responsible for staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding and retention. Charles has spoken both nationally and internationally regarding surgical rehabilitation. Charles also leads the Rehabilitation value team in pre and post-acute programs, including HSS@Home, HSS’s first post-operative telehealth initiative. This program has grown significantly since its inception in 2018 and has been published twice in peer reviewed journals. Charles also works with other HSS leaders and outside agencies to lobby CMS and Congress on the benefits of telePT with an aim of making telePT permanent option of care once the pandemic telehealth care exemptions end on December 31st, 2024.
