2018 College of Fellows Nomination Period to Open January 15
The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) will begin accepting nominations for its 2018 College of Fellows on Monday, January 15, 2018. The ATA College of Fellows is a distinguished class of members in the telemedicine industry who have been selected by their peers as deserving recognition for exemplary contributions to the profession. This honor is bestowed on a select group of individuals who have made significant contributions to the ATA over an extended period. Induction into the College of Fellows is a testament to the individual’s contribution to the ATA and in recognition of significant achievements in the field of telemedicine and telehealth, and service to the general telemedicine community.
The 2018 College of Fellows nomination period will open on Monday, January 15, 2018.
ATA will be accepting nominations for the ATA 2018 College of Fellows beginning January 15 thru February 15, 2018. Please begin preparing the following materials in advance:
- Personal Statement that describes your contribution to the field of telemedicine
- Two letters of recommendation from an ATA Fellow or a past or current ATA Board of Directors member.
The upcoming nomination process will be conducted electronically via an online submission process. An email will be sent in January, with login credentials to access the nomination site. ATA members may be elected to the College of Fellows in recognition of their significant contributions to the field of telemedicine and service to ATA. A minimum of eight years as an ATA member is required. Candidates will be evaluated by the criteria defined in the following three categories:
- Demonstrate technical contributions in telemedicine and telehealth
- Service and contributions to the telemedicine community
- Service to ATA

Members who are selected to join the College of Fellows will be recognized during the ATA 2018 Annual Conference and Expo that will be held April 29 – May 1, in Chicago, IL.
Please note that paper application forms will not be available on the website or accepted. All nominations must be submitted online by February 15, 2018 at 11:59 pm.
