Yasmine Winkler is former CEO of UnitedHealthcare Community & State’s Central Region, where she was responsible for managing the P&L, growing the Medicaid business, and winning multiple geographic and product expansion opportunities. Winkler also served as the Community & State division’s chief consumer officer, where she not only proposed and established Net Promoter Score (NPS) as a fundamental metric in measuring consumer satisfaction, but helped to implement the inclusive delivery model for social services, including housing, education, transportation, nutrition, and healthcare. Before assuming these roles in February 2015, Yasmine was the chief marketing, product and innovation officer for UnitedHealthcare’s Employer & Individual division.
With over thirty-five years in the health insurance industry, Yasmine has fostered a unique ability to develop and match health insurance business solutions to the needs of the marketplace. She has garnered extensive experience in accreditation, quality improvement, business process development, marketing, and product development and innovation. Under her leadership, UnitedHealthcare launched a portfolio of new capabilities and products that modernized how consumers interact with insurance.
Winkler is a fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago; serves on the board of directors for the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), the Hubbard Street Dance Company, the Product Development Management Association, the American Telemedicine Association and the Chicago Network; and is currently a member of Women in the Boardroom and the Latino Corporate Directors and a Leadership Greater Chicago fellow. She’s also an advisory board member for the Alumni Society.
