Abigail Crawford, BSN, MSN, RN, APRN, FNP-BC, graduated from West Virginia University School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at George Mason University. She has extensive experience in primary care, including FQHCs, retail health settings, and pediatric care. In 2018, she joined WVU Medicine Children’s to develop the Pediatric Subspecialty Telemedicine hub-and-spoke model, enhancing access to pediatric subspecialty care across West Virginia. As Chief Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for Pediatric Telemedicine she practices clinically in Martinsburg, WV and she collaborates with WVU Medicine Children’s in Morgantown, WV across 18 subspecialties. Abigail has been instrumental in opening multiple statewide clinics and crafted the training framework for new subspecialty telemedicine APPs. She also leads ongoing APP professional development and spearheads strategic service line expansion through telemedicine, aiming to improve healthcare accessibility for vulnerable populations. Abigail actively contributes to the ATA and the ATA Clinician Council, driven by her passion for enhancing pediatric healthcare access in West Virginia.
