The foundation, which incorporated in 2003 and received IRS approval for non-profit status in 2004, received initial funding and matching contributions from the American Health Care Association and National Center For Assisted Living. As a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, the foundation now accepts contributions from individuals, organizations, corporations, and others interested in the future of America’s long term care profession. Donations to the foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
